What We Do
Since our inception in 2018, we have established the frameworks and ecosystem to enable patients from India to access phage therapy locally. In 2020, we set up diagnostic testing with phages in India by partnering with Dr Dangs Lab, a leading diagnostic lab facility. We are currently partnering with medical institutions around the country to enable and facilitate phage therapy for their patients suffering from chronic, recurrent or antibiotic-resistant infections.
Phage Therapy for Patients
Patient shares his/her past medical reports and case history with Vitalis. If required, an initial telemedicine consultation with the doctor’s at Eliava Phage Therapy Center will be arranged.
Vitalis will set up testing for the patient at our partner lab to identify the bacterial infection and the sensitivity of the infection to Eliava’s standard phages.
Lab will report the culture growth with antibiotic sensitivity analysis and phage sensitivity analysis to the patient and Vitalis.
Vitalis will collate that with the patients past medical reports and case history and send to the treating doctor at Eliava Phage Therapy Center.
The treating doctor at Eliava Phage Therapy Center will prepare a treatment plan based on the test reports. If the treating doctor feels that he/she requires a telemedicine consultation with the patient or the patient’s local doctor, the same will be arranged. At the end of this step, the treating doctor at Eliava will send the phage therapy treatment plan, prescription and invoice to the patient.
Upon receiving the payment, the Eliava Phage Therapy Center will dispatch the phage shipment to the patient via courier, along with relevant documents for custom clearance.
